Nothing! We call them mix-ins because Yummers is so tasty, many pets only eat the Yummers on top. Mixing Yummers into the food helps pets eat their whole meal.

Yes! Yummers is made to be mixed in with all types of pet food. You can mix in Yummers with either wet or dry food. 

Absolutely! Our Meal Mix-Ins are a great complement for each other.

Since all dogs react differently, if you have a dog that may be more sensitive, you could start by introducing one product at a time. Once you see how your dog reacts, you can then introduce more mix-ins to their meals.

Yummers meal mix-ins are intended for supplemental feeding as a complement to a complete and balanced meal.

All pets are unique and their nutritional requirements vary depending on their size, age, activity, and environment. A recommended feeding guideline is on the back of every package or on yummerspets.com.

Functional meal mix-ins: 1 tsp. per 10 lbs. of body weight per day
Freeze-dried meal mix-ins: approx. 3 cubes per 10 lbs. of body weight per day
Gourmet meal mix-ins: approx. 10 pieces per 10 lbs. of body weight per day



Our functional mix-ins were developed by a Veterinarian and formulated by a PhD Nutritionist. Our tender morsels were formulated by professionals with a background in food science. 

The animal proteins we use in our recipes are free-range, cage-free, or pasture-raised and sourced from the US. We only use ingredients that are locally sourced in the United States so we can verify what goes into our food to ensure the highest quality.

Our Meal Mix-Ins are raw freeze-dried. Therefore, they may not be suitable for pets with specific dietary restrictions, such as those fighting cancer and advised to avoid raw foods. If you have any concerns about the suitability of our products, please consult with your vet.

The Hip & Joint supplement is currently a Petco exclusive, but we have plans to make it available on our website in the near future. Keep an eye out for its arrival, and in the meantime, it can be purchased at Petco locations.

We carefully source our ingredients to make sure that we are giving your pet the best.  All of our ingredients are sourced in the USA, with the exception of our pasture raised lamb which comes from New Zealand.  

All of the proteins used in our recipes (chicken, beef, salmon, ocean fish and lamb) are hormone and anti-biotic free.  And, they are carefully sourced in the USA (with the exception of the lamb which comes from New Zealand).  Our chicken is cage free, our fish is ocean-raised, and our lamb and beef are all pasture-raised.

Ask your dog!  They will tell you that Yummers dog food is delicious.  And, you can feel good about your decision to fill their bowl with Yummers because our meals are crafted to be nutritious.  We freeze-dry the proteins and antioxidants to retain the nutrients and flavor.  Then we add dehydrated sweet potato packed with fiber.  And finally we include gently cooked ancient grains for energy.  

Our premium dog foods aren’t kibble! We want your dog to have the highest quality ingredients and we know you do too!

Then, we meticulously make all of our recipes in small batches, specially crafting each individual ingredient separately to lock in the nutrients dogs need and the flavor they crave. Proteins and antioxidants are freeze-dried to ensure they remain nutrient dense. Purple sweet potatoes are dehydrated to retain their high fiber content. Ancient grains are gently cooked in order to support your dog's digestive system.  

This all comes at a premium, but we think every dog is worthy of such meals.

If feeding Yummers food for every meal isn’t feasible, treat it as a mix-in or topper with the food your dog already knows and loves. Even just some Yummers Dog Food is better than none.

To make our food we carefully consider how to make each ingredient taste the best and provide the most bio-available nutrients for your dog.  We craft 5 different bits and then mix them together to make the perfect recipe.  Our food is nothing like boring uniform kibble- you can see the difference!  And, our food is conveniently shelf stable.

Yummers is a complete and balanced meal, but we recognize that dogs like to have a little something extra with their meals.  By using our meal mix-ins (toppers), you can change up the flavors to make their meal more special with gourmet flavors.  Or, you can add a little extra boost of nutrients with one of our supplements.

It will take a week to make the change.  For the first two days you should replace 25% of your dog's bowl with Yummers.  On days 3-4 you can increase the amount of Yummers to 50%.  On days 5-6 you can increase the amount of Yummers to 75%.  And, on day 7 you can start feeding your dog 100% Yummers.    

While you don't need to add water, we do find that many dogs enjoy having their food rehydrated. To build the best bowl, add the appropriate amount of Yummers and mix in warm water at a 1:1 ratio.  Finish with the mix-in of your choice, give it a stir and serve!
